Here’s How to Join MCIC’s Community Advisory Board
At the Maryland Community Investment Corporation (MCIC), we believe that projects that truly last are built with residents at the table from the start. That belief is the foundation of our Community Advisory Board (CAB), which we officially launched through our webinar, Building What Lasts: Community, Capital, and the Future in Maryland.
The CAB is designed to ensure that community voice helps shape how capital is deployed across Maryland. It brings together leaders from the DMV, Baltimore and Central Maryland, Western Maryland, and the Eastern Shore to share insight, ground our strategy in lived experience, and help us stay accountable to the communities we serve.
During the webinar, MCIC leadership outlined our strategic direction, introduced the structure and expectations of the CAB, and shared why community partnership is central — not peripheral — to our work. We also highlighted MCIC’s new Partnership Toolkit, developed with the Neighborhood Design Center and the Community Development Network of Maryland, which explains tools like the New Markets Tax Credit in clear, accessible ways.
If you’re interested in joining MCIC’s Community Advisory Board or learning more about how to engage with us, we invite you to watch the full webinar recording above. Building what lasts requires shared stewardship and we look forward to continuing this work together.
